Job Title: Junior Clubhouse Supervisor
Department: Rooms Division
Responsible To: Guest Relations Manager / Rooms Division Manager
Main Purpose of Job: Ensures a safe, fun and interactive environment for children using the Junior Clubhouse, with supervisory authority over the Junior Clubhouse Attendants.
Liaises with: Front Desk, Concierge, Attaché, Food and Beverage, Communications
MAIN DUTIES
1. Arrive to work on time, appropriately groomed and in the correct uniform.
2. Maintain log of children being checked in and out of the Junior Clubhouse.
3. Prepare Junior Clubhouse according to weekly plans of care.
4. Follow Daily Schedule.
5. Ensure all staff are trained on the Code of Behaviour and signed copies are forwarded to HR.
6. Ensure First Aid box is fully stocked.
7. Check all equipment regularly and remove any defective items.
8. Ensure all forms containing personal data are transferred to the Department Manager's office for GDPR purposes and safe keeping.
9. Daily examination of outdoor areas in line with Health and Safety requirements.
10. Assist Department Manager with staff schedule - to be created by Thursday each week for the following week in line with business requirements.
11. Address any staff concerns with the Department Manager.
12. Develop and implement appropriate activities for the children.
13. Supervise children at all times for safety and health concerns.
14. Arrange and maintain classroom environment.
15. Maintain required materials and equipment in Club. Notify Manager of items that should be repaired or replaced.
16. Actively participate in associate meetings as required.
17. Participate in professional development opportunities as required.
18. Share knowledge from training opportunities with other staff members.
19. Serve as a role model for other staff members, as well as children.
20. Work as a team member toward establishing goals.
21. Notify security and ensure incident reports are complete whenever accident or injury occurs to children. Provide a signed copy to the Manager.
22. Inform the Department Manager of any changes/challenges involving the operation of the Junior Clubhouse.
23. Keep count of children in Junior Clubhouse.
24. Maintain order amongst the children.
25. Assist all children to restroom.
26. Supervise the children's snacks and refreshments.
27. Maintain food stations in accordance with Health Department Codes.
28. Make sure toys and games are clean and sanitary.
29. Make sure toilets are maintained in a spotless condition at all times and are regularly sanitised.
30. Ensure children are supervised until parent or legal guardian shows proper ID and signs them out.
31. Ensure that the Junior Clubhouse is opened on time in the morning and is closed properly at the end of the day.
32. Follow opening and closing procedures.
33. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel which can include day, evening or weekend shifts.
OTHER DUTIES

You will be required to be flexible in this position and must be prepared to undertake such other work as may be assigned to you by the Employer from time to time. Such work can be outside the area of your normal duties.
QUALIFYING CRITERIA
1. Completed Tusla child protection course an advantage however this training will be provided for the successful applicant if not already in place.
2. All Junior Clubhouse Associates are subject to Garda clearance.
3. Previous customer service and childminding experience an advantage.
4. Positive and friendly attitude, cheerful and courteous demeanor.
5. Good organisational skills.
6. Reliable and adaptable team player.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Ability to work flexible hours.
9. Ability to remain calm whilst under pressure.
