Sales Development Manager | 18 month FTC | Hybrid
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic sales team during the initial stages of a multi-brand growth strategy. As a Sales Development Manager, you will focus on growing and developing a dealer landscape within a set geographical region. Your role will involve supporting dealer partners in selling a full range of motor finance products, building long-lasting relationships, and providing value-added services such as regulatory guidance, training, market data, and forecourt stock funding.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Achieve commercial targets and KPIs on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis by setting action plans and measurable objectives.
2. Build and develop a network of franchise and independent car and LCV dealer partners within your region.
3. Leverage market knowledge and relationships to create a strong pipeline of new dealer opportunities and meet acquisition targets.
4. Adopt a "Dealer Partner First" philosophy, ensuring all dealer interactions are well-planned and purposeful.
5. Conduct effective meetings with clear agendas and actionable outcomes to engage stakeholders.
6. Understand dealer partners' key drivers and support their long-term objectives.
7. Identify and maximize additional sales opportunities such as wholesale funding, service plans, extended warranties, and gap insurance.
8. Provide coaching, training, and development to dealer partners in collaboration with the Network Training department.
9. Analyze key management information to identify trends, share best practices, and offer tailored solutions to dealer partners.
10. Develop and implement a funding strategy to support dealer objectives through forecourt funding plans.
11. Identify and mitigate risks, escalating concerns to the appropriate teams as needed.
12. Collaborate with internal teams, including Complaints, Compliance, Credit, and Marketing, to ensure seamless operations.
13. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of regulatory obligations within the motor finance industry.
14. Accurately plan, update, and maintain records using Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in sales and target-driven roles within the motor industry.
2. Demonstrable experience in account management within a geographic territory in a field-based capacity.
3. Strong track record of achieving sales targets and delivering results.
4. Exceptional interpersonal and customer care skills.
5. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
6. Experience in adding value to the sales process.
7. Proficient in IT, including MS Office Suite and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
8. APA or QFA qualification is advantageous. Candidates without these qualifications must be willing to complete APA exams upon appointment.
