What This Role Contributes to the Company
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your role will involve developing innovative solutions to the challenges of designing and building special-purpose machinery, mechanical handling systems, robotic automation, and assembly lines.
What We Expect From You
You will be responsible for creating innovative and cost-effective design solutions that meet user requirements. This will involve working closely with clients and managers to ensure that the design brief is followed and project milestones are achieved.

* Assist in the development of new machinery design concepts, from initial design stages to final products.
* Contribute to the development of new and existing designs with passion, energy, and enthusiasm, motivating and inspiring your team members.
* Demonstrate effective project management, multitasking, and adherence to deadlines and budgets, always applying the principle of "best quality for the lowest price" to your work.
* Source necessary components, build relationships with suppliers, and develop a reliable network to meet custom requirements.
* Have a strong commercial awareness of market trends and industries, ensuring alignment with internal design guidelines and customer profiles.
* Create detailed documentation for internal and external customers, including all necessary BOM configurations.
* Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and broader teams, including manufacturing and production.
* Be willing to perform ad hoc tasks as required to support your manager and team, as well as those outside of your team when necessary.
* Participate in regular project design meetings and daily stand-ups.
* Adhere to all ISO Quality & Environmental policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Essential Criteria:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* At least 3 years of experience in a design role, ideally within an industrial automation environment.
* Proficiency in creating CAD drawings with a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
* Experience with SolidWorks.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in business development discussions.
* Previous experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable Criteria:
* Knowledge of industrial automation equipment, including robotics, grippers, conveyor systems, vacuum products, and linear actuators.
* Practical knowledge of pneumatics.
* Familiarity with ISO Machinery Directives and Health & Safety Standards.
* Working knowledge of engineering materials
