Role Profile
The successful individual will be a member of the Work, Psychology and Strategy Group in DCU Business School, conducting high-quality research and teaching in Aviation Management.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not restricted to, the following:
Teaching and Learning
To contribute to the teaching and learning activity of DCU Business School by:
* Delivering modules to the highest academic standards.
* Using a variety of teaching and assessment methodologies.
* Enhancing existing modules and programmes.
* Contributing to the design of new modules and programmes.
* Providing research supervision for postgraduate students.
Research and Scholarship
To contribute to the research activity of DCU Business School by:
* Publishing in high-impact international journals.
* Achieving measurable impact via citations.
* Translating academic research into practical insights.
* Seeking funds to support research initiatives.
Service and Contribution to the University and Society
To contribute to the management of the School by:
* Delivering management and service roles to a high standard.
* Engaging in accreditation-related activities.
* Participating in School and University committees.
Qualifications and Experience
* PhD or near completion in Aviation Management or related discipline.
* Track record of teaching experience.
* Evidence of published work or potential for publishing.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience in developing networks within academic and professional communities.
The postholder will be required to undertake essential compliance training.
Salary Scale: Assistant Professor - €63,311 - €101,461. Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Provisional Interview Dates: End June - Mid July 2025
