We are actively recruiting for a Business Development Executive to support and drive sales across our Medical Device division.
The purpose of this job is to develop a medical device sales strategy, identify and win business from the allocated Market of Ireland. Maintain and develop existing customer accounts, develop and qualify new leads for medical devices testing, consultancy, and packaging services.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for identification and winning of laboratory services business to achieve the business plan with allocated markets/clients.
* Assist the Medical Device Sales and Business Director with preparation of wider strategic business planning.
* Account Development Planning: Analyze clients’ organization and activities to assess potential requirements for Eurofins Medical Device Services.
* Continually develop knowledge of the outsourcing strategy of assigned clients and create short, medium, and long-term strategies to maximize opportunities for providing analytical services.
* Manage contractual processes including confidentiality agreements, preferred provider/master services agreements, and pricing agreements. Resolve commercial issues/negotiations with support from senior management and other stakeholders.
* Develop commercial and market awareness initiatives.
* Develop and qualify new leads for non-active medical devices testing services.
* Maintain and develop existing customer accounts using sales methods and relationship building in the given territory.
* Provide account, activity, and market status reports as required on a local or global basis.
* Plan and organize sales activities within the assigned territory to achieve company-established sales goals.
* Evaluate sales data, prepare reports, and participate in sales planning.
* Support the European Eurofins sales force and key account management team to achieve established sales goals.
* Attend and support marketing activities, e.g., international conferences, trade shows, and workshops.
* Visit clients onsite for relationship management purposes.
* Operate CRM software to capture all sales activities related to customer contacts, activities, and contractual agreements.
* Maintain knowledge and understanding of regulated preclinical services.
* Provide feedback and direction from market analysis and advise on areas of development and focus regarding increasing testing capabilities/consultancy offerings.
* Perform other tasks/duties as required to fulfill the role.
* Identify opportunities for improvement of quality and service with client groups and formulate action plans for continuous improvement.
What are we looking for?
* Bachelor or Master of Science (Biology, Chemistry, or related fields).
* Finance/business training desirable.
* At least 3 years of experience and demonstrated success in sales or business development of medical device testing services.
* An established network of contacts within the medical devices, biotechnology, and pharma industries.
* Knowledge in regulations (ISO, GLP).
* Understanding of the product commercialization and manufacturing/supply chain process for clients and markets, particularly testing and service requirements, including knowledge of regulatory authorities, guidelines, and quality systems.
* Teamwork skills, especially in a matrix management organization, with the ability to influence across functions and Eurofins sites.
* Proven networking skills internally and externally with client organizations, other service providers, and industry bodies.
* Ability to influence and be credible at a senior level within Eurofins and client organizations.
* Capability to contribute to the strategic direction of the business and work with counterparts across Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories globally to achieve business objectives.
* Good communication skills, both internally and externally, with the ability to understand clients’ requirements and devise appropriate solutions.
A large part of the role involves interaction with all functions within Eurofins BPT Laboratories and clients, including planned regular team meetings, client meetings, and ad hoc discussions across the business. The job holder must be available at the Ireland site as required by clients/internal meetings.
Significant travel time is required, potentially involving nights away from home. It is anticipated that a minimum of 50% travel time is required per week.
