The purpose of this role is to process customer samples throughout the relevant laboratory, keeping in mind efficiency, quality, and accuracy standards as required by the company.
Responsibilities:
* Accurately log samples into the system in a timely manner.
* Ensure samples are brought to the laboratories as quickly as possible.
* Maintain a clean and tidy laboratory area in both ‘seen’ and ‘unseen’ areas.
* Administer documentation with reference to samples, including filing.
* Dispose of retained samples at regular intervals and complete all relevant documentation.
* Provide cover for other staff members as required.
* Ensure all documentation is carried out on time, accurately, and legibly.
* Keep training sheets up to date and initiate training when free from work.
* Adhere to all company standards in safety, housekeeping, and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies.
* Clean laboratory equipment as required (e.g., refrigerators, incubators).
* Assist in laboratories if time allows, including stocking areas with consumables.
* Ensure that customer requirements are fully met and be flexible to work in any area of the business as required.
* Participate in the company On-Call / Call out rota as required.
* Provide training to other team members in tasks for which they have approved training records.
Minimum Requirements:
* A minimum of 1 year of record-keeping experience (preferably electronic records).
* GMP experience is preferable.
* Good team player.
* Good communication skills both internally and externally.
Note: The working pattern for this role will be a 39-hour working week, which consists mainly of Monday - Friday, but will include a Tuesday-Saturday working pattern every third week.
