Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of high-quality projects. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to ensure timely and within-budget project completion.
Responsibilities
* Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for construction projects.
* Managing procurement processes, including tender document preparation and contractor bid evaluation.
* Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure alignment with budgets and producing financial reports.
* Handling valuations, variations, and final accounts for multiple projects.
* Conducting risk assessments and providing cost-saving recommendations where applicable.
* Assisting in contract administration and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
* Engaging with clients, contractors, and project teams to facilitate smooth project delivery.
* Preparing and maintaining accurate project documentation and cost records.
Requirements
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in a quantity surveying role, preferably within a consultancy environment.
* Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
* Experience with public and private sector projects is advantageous.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cost management software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft).
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to deadlines.
