Job Overview The successful candidate will support Management with internal and external portfolio controls, monitoring and development of the commercial lines of business. They will work with all aspects of the business such as Operations, IT, Governance, Sales and Claims to deliver objectives that align to our company strategy. They will be responsible for supporting the preparation and analysis on performance data to support the development and enhancement of key business initiatives.
The successful candidate will contribute to a positive team environment and represent the Commercial Product team to a high level with internal and external stakeholders. Strong attention to detail, quality of work output, cross functional collaboration and ability to meet deadlines are all key attributes required for the role.
Job Responsibilities
Provide support to the Commercial team through ad hoc projects and reporting requests
Provide cross portfolio support when required
Implement and strengthening processes and controls while contributing to the delivery of the Commercial Underwriting strategy
Complete quality audit reviews in line with the quality audit plan and provide feedback to stakeholders on a quarterly basis
Identify exposures and risk improvement measures through the Quality Assurance reviews and develop controls to minimise same
Support the development of training material within underwriting and the broader business when required
Contribute to committee and underwriting forum packs, summarise and progress key actions, product reviews and market positioning to plan
Support commercial underwriting projects and initiatives including the operations team to support joint business outcomes
Job Responsibilities Education Achieved a professional insurance qualification qualified to a minimum level of Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) or commitment to achieving within a set timeframe
Experiences
Commercial underwriting experience is desirable
Experience in reporting tools such as SQL and Tableau are desirable.
Experience in quality or auditing process is desirable
Stakeholder Management is desirable

Quality focused to provide excellent output and meet deadlines as required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft tools such as Sharepoint
Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and an active desire to develop knowledge and experience
Detail orientated with ability to lead with initiative when required
Excellent organisation, time management, analytical and presentation skills
Excellent relationship skills and capable of working proactively with the commercial underwriting operations teams and cross functionally
Ambitious and energetic in their approach to their work and possess a positive outlook.
