Overview
The post of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are: quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication and professional / clinical leadership within the Emergency Division. There is currently one permanent whole-time post available in the Emergency Department, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.A temporary and permanent panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Essential Criteria
Each candidate must, at the latest date for receipt of completed applications for the post: Professional Qualifications & ExperienceBe registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) or be entitled to be so registered.AndHave at least 5 years post registration experience of which 2 must be in the speciality area of Emergency Nursing.AndHave the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role. AndDemonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level. Annual registration(i) Practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).And(ii) Confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). AgeAge restriction shall only apply to a candidate where s/he is not classified as a new entrant (within the meaning of the Public Service Superannuation (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2004). A candidate who is not classified as a new entrant must be under 65 years of age on the first day of the month in which the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office occur HealthA candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
