Job Title: Ad Astra Fellow - Assistant Professor in Antimicrobial Resistance
About the Role:
The UCD School of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for an Ad Astra Assistant Professor position to further enhance UCD's strategic One Health initiatives through innovative research in antimicrobial resistance.
Main Responsibilities:
* To lead and conduct innovative research in antimicrobial resistance, focusing on immunological research relevant to the development of vaccines, diagnostics and host-directed therapies across human and veterinary medicine.
* To collaborate with colleagues within the College of Health and Agricultural Sciences to strengthen UCD's capacity in this critical area.
* To develop a strong and funded research programme that attracts high-calibre students and staff.
Key Requirements:
* A PhD in a relevant discipline and significant postdoctoral experience in antimicrobial resistance research.
* A proven track record of attracting external funding and leading successful research projects.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with academic and non-academic stakeholders.
