BEECHFIELD CARE GROUP is one of the leading nursing home groups in Ireland. The Group has doubled its size over the last four years and currently consists of 8 care facilities, 510 residential care beds. Headquarters in Castleknock, Dublin 15, our central operating group comprises the finance, operations, quality, and HR functions. We are currently seeking a full-time Management / Financial Accountant to join our team!
The Management / Financial Accountant will report to the Group Financial Controller.
The Role:
The Management / Financial Accountant's key responsibilities will include:
1. Working as part of a dynamic finance team in the preparation of monthly management accounts, cashflows, and qualitative management information.
2. Bank reconciliations.
3. Adhering to monthly reporting timetables.
4. Working closely with the financial controller within the Group to prepare and provide accurate and consistent financial information as requested.
5. Providing analytical support to management on key business decisions.
6. Preparing audit packs and supporting the external audit process.
7. Assisting with the management of cashflow across the multiple entities.
8. Overseeing the management/mentoring of accounts staff.
9. Liaising with external stakeholders and advisors as required.
10. Involvement in the annual budget process.
11. Supporting ad-hoc accounting projects.
12. Providing financial support as required to financial administrators based in the care homes.
Key Requirements:
1. Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA) with 0-3 years PQE. Strong technical accounting ability.
2. Experience in preparation of management accounts / financial statements.
3. Strong commercial awareness and good business acumen.
4. Ensure accurate completion and punctual submission of reports and information.
5. Excellent communication skills, interacting confidently with others.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills.
7. Experience in accounting software (Sage50) is desirable.
8. Experience in payroll software (Sage or Thesaurus) is desirable.
9. Experience in the healthcare sector is an advantage but not essential.
