Position: Decontamination Technician

Main Objective:
Our Decontamination Technicians are responsible for the decontamination, assembling, and packaging of medical equipment in our Service Centre, working on equipment such as electric beds, pressure care mattresses, hoists, specialized seating, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To ensure all equipment is thoroughly decontaminated to the highest standard, following strict processes and procedures.
2. To ensure you are efficient and productive at all times with a strong focus on Quality and Customer Service.
3. To ensure all jobs are completed correctly and processed through the Decontamination Module.
4. To ensure that all decontaminated equipment is packed correctly before entering storage.
5. Assembly of new products.
6. To book in goods and complete pick lists in the Pick and Dispatch Process.
7. To ensure all customer complaints and requests are dealt with immediately.
8. To ensure that any issues are reported to your Supervisor/Manager immediately.
9. To ensure that all agreed processes and procedures are followed at all times.
10. To ensure your personal equipment is in order.
11. Provide feedback on recommendations, ideas, and improvements that may support ongoing improvements to service and products.
12. Ensure a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene is met at all times and in keeping with Company policies.
13. Perform additional ad hoc tasks as required by the Company. The duties listed are not exhaustive.
Knowledge/Skills:
Ideally, the suitable candidate will have previous medical device industry experience in a similar role and demonstrated the following skills:
* The ability to work under pressure.
* The ability to ensure the work is done in the most efficient way.
* The ability to work as part of a team.
Experience:
1-2 years in a similar role desirable; however, full training will be provided.
Experience with barcode systems/handheld devices/software preferred.
Qualifications:
Leaving cert or equivalent.
