We are currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Advisor to start in January 2025.
This role is that of Mortgage Advisor within a busy financial institution, working with clients to finance the purchase of properties and switch existing mortgages. Working within a team of advisors in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will be a strong people person, team player, and able to manage a portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Advising new clients on mortgage options available to them.
2. Management of the mortgage processes, preparation, processing, and management of mortgage applications with relevant providers, ensuring accurate entry of data uploaded to internal/external systems.
3. Tracking of the new business pipeline, ensuring efficient turnaround of proposals.
4. Liaising with clients and lenders throughout the mortgage completion process.
5. Ensuring client files are complete and in compliance with policies and procedures before filing.
6. Dealing with all administration queries arising on a day-to-day basis regarding client applications and keeping the manager updated on all relevant matters arising and potential sales opportunities.
7. Providing full administration support in all aspects of new business and for existing client reviews.
8. Maintaining and managing the CRM system and ensuring the new business pipeline is fully up to date at all times.
9. Other duties and responsibilities as they arise that may be required in order to grow the business.
10. General office administration.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:
1. Strong client focus is essential.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Excellent attention to detail is a must.
4. Good technical knowledge of mortgages.
5. Professional approach.
6. Proficiency in MS Office applications – Outlook, Word, Excel.
7. Appropriate industry qualification QFA or APA loans.
8. Highly self-motivated & ability to work on own initiative.
9. Excellent organisational skills.
Advantageous:
1. Knowledge of Anti Money Laundering requirements and compliance procedures.
2. Previous experience in working in a financial institution.
