Retail Operations Manager
Our client, a leader in the Irish Grocery Retail Market - are currently seeking an Retail Operations Manager to join their rapidly expanding business in Cork.

Reporting to the Head of Retail, this role is instrumental in supporting store managers across multiple locations, ensuring operational excellence and driving business performance.

Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards across all retail activities
* Provide expert guidance on store management, margin control, and operational best practices
* Collaborate with store teams to enhance merchandising, sales strategies, and customer experience
* Support store managers in maintaining top-tier food hygiene and compliance with health and safety regulations
* Offer insights on product range selection, planogram execution, and category layouts.
* Implement, monitor, and refine promotional strategies across various retail cycles
* Conduct performance audits, leveraging scorecards, mystery shopper insights, and quality assessments to drive continuous improvement
* Lead in-store projects, including new store launches and refurbishment planning
* Ensure compliance with security, safety, and emergency protocols
* Develop initiatives to boost sales and profitability while resolving operational challenges
* Analyse financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings and increased efficiency
* Work closely with suppliers and the Head Office team to align strategies and operations
* Collaborate with HR and Fresh Food teams to ensure compliance with staffing and food safety standards
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail operations
* A strong track record of leading, motivating, and inspiring teams
* Strategic mindset with the ability to drive change and improve store performance
* Experience in managing operational budgets, staffing levels, and business targets
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
* Resilient, solutions-focused, and able to perform under pressure
* A full, clean driver’s license is required
