BR Marketing is an importer and distributor of FMCG brands across grocery, convenience, and healthcare channels.
We represent a portfolio of #1 brands in the Irish market, including Blue Dragon, Patak’s, and Frank’s RedHot as well as Del Monte, Twinings, Glanbia Optimum Nutrition, Swizzels, and Haliborange.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Marketing, this role is integral to the sales and marketing functions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
This role is designed to ensure that we fully utilize both internal and external data to track performance and make informed business decisions with pace and agility.
1. Analyze the internal business intelligence platform (Power BI) to review brand sales performance, developing dashboards as required to facilitate analysis, highlighting opportunities for growth and corrective action on any negative trends.
2. Analyze external data (NielsenIQ, Symphony EYC, Dunnhumby, retailer ePOS) as well as insights provided by brand principles to create measurable actions, notably rationale-based ranging recommendations to retail customers.
3. Champion Power BI as the internal data hub for retailer and brand performance, managing and tracking all performance metrics – distribution, price, rate of sale, promotional lift, etc.
4. Prepare in-depth analysis of all aspects of category (range, pricing, promotional mechanics) to provide insight for key business meetings (internal reviews, retailer reviews, supplier reviews) to unlock growth and proactively address issues to optimize sales.
5. Deliver the sell-in of any Range Reviews and NPD to retail partners through compelling stories, backed up by consumer and category insights.
6. Maintain retailer promotional and range review calendars.
7. Track competitor activity for key categories.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Degree level Business/Marketing related qualification.
2. 6+ years’ experience in FMCG, ideally in the food sector, with a solid understanding of the associated retailer landscape.
3. Highly commercial marketeer, comfortable working with various stakeholders from brand owners to retail buyers.
4. An analytical thinker, with strong commercial acumen and good numerical literacy.
5. Proven experience in developing actionable brand insights from consumer and market data (Kantar, Nielsen, Symphony EYC, Dunnhumby, etc).
6. Proficiency in using Business Information Systems (preferably Microsoft Power BI) programs to create and track brand performance, including dashboard and report creation.
7. Experience of managing all levers of performance: price, place, promotion, pack, product.
8. Excellent Excel skills to create and analyze key performance metrics.
9. Strong communication and presentation skills (proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint) with the knack for building solid relationships and influencing decisions.
10. Can-do attitude, anticipate objections and offer ideas and solutions. Work at pace.
