This role sits within our site Finance Team, reporting to the Finance Manager and is a hands-on position responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day financial operations, group & statutory reporting. Specific responsibilities include the following:
1. Coordination of monthly accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet and analyses
2. Monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
3. Monthly Intercompany reconciliations
4. Prepare monthly EBITDA Walk and supporting schedules
5. Load site results to OneStream for Consolidation by Group
6. Review AR performance and provide support to the invoicing team
7. Review and circulate weekly KPIs
8. Cash Flow Management & Forecasting
9. Review of Fixed Asset Register & Depreciation Schedules
10. Review & approve monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments
11. Process staff expenses and prepare Enhanced Reporting to Revenue
12. Review VAT, P30 & all other compliance returns monthly/quarterly/yearly
13. Manage Capex Budget and maintain Capital Plan
14. Preparation of monthly P&L forecasts
15. Key participant in annual budgeting process
16. Key point of contact for external auditors for annual statutory audit
17. Flexibility to collaborate with other departments when required
18. Ensure compliance with all Revenue & Corporate governance
Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required
Essential
19. ACCA or ACA Qualified Accountant
20. Minimum of 2 years working in Finance function of a multi-national or multi-site business, with exposure to intercompany transactions / reconciliations
21. Proven experience in preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting of financial information
22. Exposure to forecasting, budgeting, reconciliations, and financial analysis
23. Analytical with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work on own initiative, under pressure and to tight deadlines
24. Strong knowledge of general accounting concepts
25. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel
Desirable
26. Big 4 or Top 10 trained
27. Pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry experience (either in practice or industry)
28. Previous use of JD Edwards or similar ERP system
