Job Description
This is a contract role initially, managing the Maintenance Department on a site in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
Main Responsibilities:
* Deliver quality-based, cost-effective services by managing contracts, grounds of facility, health & safety and equipment in accordance with regulations.
* Manage performance and maintenance of buildings including mechanical and electrical services.
* Participate in new development projects and prepare annual buildings and maintenance plans.
* Ensure contracts works are managed in line with H&S policies/procedures and construction regulations.
* Chair meetings and committees.
* Prepare reports, estimates, specifications and drawings.
* Carry out Risk Assessments, audits and fire safety checks.
* Prepare budgetary plans for infrastructural works, procurement and purchasing of materials.
Requirements
* Hold a 3rd Level/Apprenticeship in IT, Electrical/Mechanical trade or Engineering/Surveying/Facilities/Chartered Surveyors.
* Have at least 7 years experience in mechanical/electrical/engineering management of large buildings.
* Experience in management of operational budgets.
* Management of multidisciplinary trades and technical teams.
* Experience in implementation of Planned Maintenance programmes.
* Experience working with building service systems and technologies such as UPS units, AHUs and water treatment systems.
* Hold a valid Safe Pass or equivalent.
