Nua Healthcare Services wants you to work as part of our talented multidisciplinary team within Ireland’s first independently operated Low Secure Unit. This new and exciting specialist mental health inpatient service will provide care and treatment for adults aged between 18 and 65 who suffer from a mental disorder.
Key Responsibilities

* Co-operate with your employer and comply with responsibilities under the Health Act 2007, The Mental Health Act 2001, and the Mental Health Amendment Act 2018.
* Ensure PP’s and ICP’s are up to date and that services are delivered to the highest possible quality and safety standards.
* Familiarize and adhere to the local safety statement and all company policies and procedures.
* Use company IT systems as instructed and protect company and personal data as defined under GDPR.
* Report any concerns for the safety of service users to your line manager.
* Maintain the highest level of infection control standards as directed by company policy.
Job Objectives
* Safe Management and Administration of Medications.
* Utilizing nursing skills to support effective front-line support to all Service Users.
* Support the development and implementation of Health Assessments and Medication Plans.
* Ensure all Health Action Plans are delivered appropriately to all Service Users.
* Promote good relationships with primary health care services.
* Communicate and liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
* Identify supports and work in partnership with individuals and their families.
* Support service users with health appointments.
* Maintain strict confidentiality regarding service users.
* Promote person-centred planning using key worker systems.
* Assist DON in compiling and presenting reports as required.
Skills Required
* Be registered on the Psychiatric Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Medication Management.
* Effective verbal and written communication.
* Understanding of the needs of individuals.
* Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
* Experience in a supportive role.
* Willingness to learn and reliability.
* Good organization and IT skills.
* Self-motivated and able to plan time effectively.
* Full clean driving license an advantage.
