About the Role:
* Collaborate with IT and business teams to document data requirements for finance and regulatory changes.
* Review and improve existing data management and business processes, integrating new finance and regulatory reporting requirements.
* Analyse complex financial data and design innovative data-driven solutions, identifying and addressing process gaps.
* Develop and implement data solutions to support finance and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with regulations like BCBS239.
* Monitor and maintain data quality and integrity, implementing necessary controls and fixes.
* Improve data lineage processes, maintain documentation, and conduct gap analysis to recommend system improvements.
* Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical, and data teams to ensure clear communication and understanding of data requirements and reporting solutions.
* Maintain market knowledge of new data technologies and tools, and develop external vendor relationships, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
About You:
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Strong experience working with a consulting firm as a Data Consultant, focusing on finance and regulatory environments in Banking & Insurance sectors.
* Experience with Financial Services clients and in-depth knowledge of finance processes and controls, including Management Reporting and Regulatory Reporting.
* Proven experience in Financial & Regulatory Reporting, including IFRS reporting and Prudential and Statistical Reporting.
* Proficient in data management frameworks, compliance requirements, and regulations (e.g., BCBS239), with knowledge of data tools, BI Reporting, T-SQL, Python & R, and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle & SAP).
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with knowledge of tools to assess and improve data quality.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Experience with Agile methodologies, and the ability to create clear PowerPoint presentations to communicate complex data and insights.
