Financial Analyst - Business Partner - Qualified Accountant
This is an interesting and exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or nearly qualified accountant to join an excellent brand during a significant period of change and transformation. The successful candidate will be key support for Project Managers and project reporting within the organisation.
This is a key role within a central team, this project and will give the Financial analyst significant exposure to complex project environments. Play a lead role in business partnering and financial analysis. As a key member of the team you will be responsible for supporting the Business Unit with ongoing project work, as well as preparing ad hoc reports for management and stakeholders.
Duties will include:
* Managing individual project budgets and funding
* Responsibility for preparation of monthly financial reports, ensuring they are completed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
* Responsible for supporting project teams to deliver investments in new technology and supporting the implementation of a planned ERP system.
* Oversee projects from planning, procurement and design phases, through to operational readiness and pilot.
* Ensure timely and accurate completion of the month end process up to and including production of monthly management accounts
* Review month end costs with budget holders to ensure that costs remain within budget
* Develop and report high-quality financial management reports, financial analysis and key performance indicators
* Support the preparation of the annual budget and other financial analysis and projections
* Support the establishment of new operational processes and standardisation and streamlining of existing processes
* Continuous improvement of financial reporting processes;
* Coordination with various stakeholders including both finance and non-finance personnel. Build strong internal business partner relationships
* Preparing monthly variance analysis reports and business partnering with business units to understand and resolve variances
The successful candidate will have:
* A recognised accounting qualification
* A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in the preparation of management accounts, reconciliations, business partnering and financial forecasting
* Experience in managing projects or people is a distinct advantage
* Ability to communicate and interact effectively with stakeholders
* Good analytical ability, with a logical approach to problem solving and sound judgement
* Deadline-orientated and an ability to stick to time constraints
