KEY DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES:
Ensure the efficient running and cleanliness of the hotel's grounds and car parks.
Help guests with parking and directions.
Anticipate car park use based on business levels and contingency planning.
When the carpark is full, organize alternative car parking arrangements as required.
Identify non-hotel guests parking at The Kingsley and monitor parking areas.
Ensure bike shed is used by staff as appropriate.
Welcome guests into the hotel with the highest customer service, assisting them in every way possible, including opening doors, assisting with luggage, parking, lifts, and directions.
Provide flawless, upscale, professional, and high-class guest service experiences and accompany guests to their allocated rooms if necessary.
Ensure hotel grounds, including the front area and car park, are clean and presentable at all times.
Monitor outdoor bins to ensure they are emptied and leaves are brushed away.
Have excellent knowledge of local areas to share with guests.
Be fully knowledgeable of all opening times, including F&B, Spa, and Health Club.
Assist guests with any queries where possible.
Actively listen to and resolve guests' complaints or hand them over to the GRM as appropriate.
Promote all amenities, conveniences, and programs offered and assist with itineraries, provide directions, and information on local services.
Ensure accident reports are fully and accurately completed when necessary.
Lead by example to all departments regarding uniforms, communication with guests, and all other relevant areas pertaining to the guest experience.
Ensure the overall comfort and satisfaction of guests.
Safety and Compliance:
* Assist and liaise with relevant HOD to ensure all areas of the carpark are adequately covered by CCTV and have adequate lighting day and night.
* Manage and review road markings, traffic and pedestrian flows, and bollard placement regularly.
* Maintain and review directional and regular signage to ensure it is current.
* Coordinate landscaping maintenance with external landscapers.
* Coordinate carpark hours and flexibility when cover is required, over 7 days.
* Monitor electrical charging car parking spaces for effective and correct customer use.
* Place stickers on repeat parkers in non-parking spots around the fountain, Deane side loading bays, etc.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND ASSOCIATED RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Be Fire Warden trained.
* Be familiar with the Wild Atlantic Way and Ancient East and all local attractions, mass times, directions to CUH, etc.
* Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
* Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
* Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with The Kingsley's rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the hotel's facilities.
* All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per The Kingsley's standards.
* Assist with special projects as needed.
* Recruit, train, and supervise groundskeeping staff, including seasonal or temporary workers.
* Develop work schedules and assign tasks based on seasonality, weather conditions, and landscaping needs.
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to ensure high-quality work.
* Promote safety best practices and enforce safety regulations to protect employees.
* Plan and execute landscaping projects, including planting, mulching, fertilizing, mowing, and pruning.
* Develop maintenance schedules to ensure timely care of lawns, plants, trees, and flowerbeds.
* Monitor and maintain the health of plants and trees, identifying and addressing any pest, disease, or nutrient-related issues.
* Oversee the maintenance of sports fields, playgrounds, and other recreational areas to meet specific standards.
* Prepare and manage the annual grounds maintenance budget, including labor, supplies, and equipment costs.
* Order necessary supplies, materials, and tools within budget constraints.
* Keep track of inventory and maintain records of purchases, expenses, and service records.
* Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and repair of landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems.
* Ensure all equipment is in safe working condition and schedule regular servicing.
* Work with architects, landscape designers, and vendors for larger landscape projects or installations.
* Review plans and coordinate resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure it meets quality and aesthetic standards.
* Communicate with property managers, clients, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
* Handle complaints or concerns related to grounds maintenance and implement improvements based on feedback.
* Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards, including pesticide application, water conservation, and waste disposal.
* Promote sustainable practices, such as native planting, organic fertilizers, and water-efficient landscaping.
Location:
Primary location will be outdoor carparks, underground, and lobby areas.
