Job Title: Social Care Worker - Disability Residential Service
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Care Worker to join our nationwide disability residential service. The successful candidate will provide care and support through a person-centred approach, meeting the practical, physical, and emotional needs of residents with intellectual disabilities, ABI, or autism.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Provide care and support through a person-centred approach, meeting the practical, physical, and emotional needs of residents.
2. Act as a key worker for named residents where appropriate.
3. Support residents with their daily plans, individual goals, and education.
4. Assist residents with living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and family visits.
5. Participate in on-floor duty teams, coordinating shifts and supervising staff under direction.
Requirements:
* Hold a qualification at Level 7 or above, registered as a Social Care Worker with CORU.
* Knowledge of quality assurance practices and their application to service provision.
* Experience working in residential, respite, or day service settings with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Knowledge of Person Centred Planning, clinical and human resource policies, and relevant legislation.
* Familiarity with National Disability Standards (HIQA).
