Description
The role is responsible for delivering engineering packaging continuous improvement projects related to daily operations. Define areas that require potential solutions to meet current business needs and challenges, developing cost and schedule estimates, submitting for approval, and managing the project lifecycle right through to commercial operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Partner with engineering and maintenance personnel including external contractors.
2. Support the compliance activities of the engineering team in packaging.
3. Support introduction and integration of modern technologies (e.g., aggregation, blister & device packaging) and/or new processes, as needed & support delivery of the business goals.
4. Partner with the engineering team on the specification, installation, utilization, qualification, and improvement of equipment used for solid dose and vial products.
5. Frequently interact with cross-functional groups, involving equipment-related matters, implementation of projects, and leveraging cross-function support to implement efficiency programs.
6. Support implementation and development of engineering policies, procedures, techniques, standards, and systems.
7. Prepare project plans and manage projects to successful and timely completion. Support the team and functional areas to anticipate, identify and resolve complex engineering/technology issues in compliance with codes.
8. Support the continuous improvement process by seeking ways to improve engineering processes and packaging equipment performance.
9. Work on problems where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of identifiable factors, establishment of root cause & implementation of corrective actions to meet business targets on equipment.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
Experience and knowledge in any or all the following would be a distinct advantage:
1. Experience of primary and secondary packaging.
2. Degree qualified with solid experience.
3. Experience in pharmaceutical operations/GMP environment.
4. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and people skills, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving capability.
5. Ability to develop solutions to a wide range of moderately complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
