We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Group Sales Manager to develop and execute sales strategies that grow our corporate, MICE, and group business. This role will be pivotal in building long-term partnerships and increasing direct bookings while reducing reliance on third-party platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate & MICE Sales Development
* Identify and secure new corporate accounts and business partnerships.
* Develop and maintain relationships with event planners, travel agencies, and key decision-makers.
* Drive MICE sales by securing large-scale conferences, weddings, and business events.
Revenue & Performance Targets
* Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets for accommodation, meeting spaces, and events.
* Collaborate with the Revenue & Marketing teams to optimize pricing and promotions.
* Monitor and analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to adjust sales strategies.
Client Relationship Management
* Manage a portfolio of existing corporate accounts, ensuring repeat business and contract renewals.
* Conduct sales visits, presentations, and property site tours to showcase our offerings.
* Represent the Byrne Hotel Group at trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences.
Collaboration with Internal Teams
* Work closely with the Marketing & Digital team to drive direct sales campaigns.
* Align with the Operations & Events teams to ensure flawless event execution.
* Provide regular sales reports and pipeline updates to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
We're Looking For
* Proven experience in corporate sales, hospitality sales, or MICE sales (3+ years preferred).
* A strong network in the hospitality, corporate, and events sectors in Ireland.
* Target-driven with a track record of achieving or exceeding revenue goals.
* Exceptional negotiation & relationship-building skills.
* Experience working with CRM systems, Opera PMS, and data-driven sales reporting.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple sales accounts & projects.
* Excellent communication & presentation skills.
