The Logistics Controller will be responsible for overseeing the flow of goods into and out of Wonderfield Ireland, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of products while maintaining inventory integrity.
This role involves managing logistics operations, coordinating with suppliers and delivery teams, and optimizing processes to support the business's growth.
Key Responsibilities: • Goods Inbound: o Oversee the receiving process of all deliveries, ensuring products are delivered in good condition and on time.
o Verify shipments against purchase orders and supplier invoices, checking for discrepancies or damaged goods.
o Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery schedules and resolve any delivery issues.
o Ensure proper documentation and tracking of all incoming goods, including perishable items, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
o Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure stock availability without overstocking.
• Goods Outbound: o Monitor and manage outgoing orders for retail, catering, or delivery purposes, ensuring timely dispatch.
o Coordinate with internal teams, including the kitchen, to ensure products are packaged and dispatched according to customer orders.
o Manage the logistics of external transportation providers and ensure cost-effective delivery solutions.
o Track and report on all shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
• Inventory Management: o Maintain an accurate inventory system, ensuring that stock levels are constantly updated and aligned with business needs.
o Conduct regular stock counts and audits to minimize discrepancies or losses.
o Monitor stock rotation, particularly for perishable goods, ensuring products are used within their shelf life.
o Generate and analyze inventory reports to support operational decisions.
• Logistics Coordination & Optimization: o Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other departments to streamline logistics processes and improve efficiency.
o Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve delivery times without compromising quality or service.
o Maintain strong relationships with external logistics providers and ensure that service agreements are met.
• Health & Safety Compliance: o Ensure all logistical operations comply with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
o Monitor proper storage conditions for perishable and non-perishable goods, ensuring quality and safety are upheld at all times.
________________________________________ Qualifications & Skills: • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or inventory control (preferably within the food industry).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Good understanding of inventory management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Experience with logistics software or ERP systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers, team members, and other departments.
• A proactive attitude, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driver's license is a plus (if required for transportation coordination).
