Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Assessor to support the Victims Payment Board (VPB) in delivering the clinical assessment service for the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme. As a qualified nurse or allied health professional, you will work with applicants and healthcare professionals to determine the permanence of their condition and percentage disablement.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced nurses and allied health professionals to join our team as Clinical Assessors. You will be responsible for meeting with applicants, reviewing medical evidence, and seeking additional insight and information as required. Your duties will include:
* Meeting with applicants and reviewing available medical evidence to determine the permanence of their condition and percentage disablement.
* Seeking further medical evidence from GPs, other healthcare professionals, or services to support the applicants TPS application.
* Analysing and interpreting clinical information and supporting evidence to support your assessment and subsequent report.
* Compiling comprehensive reports in a professional and concise manner, including a detailed history, justification, and conclusion.
Criteria
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A minimum of 4 years post-registration experience.
* AYE & PIP qualifications completed.
* Fully registered without sanction or conditions of practice with NISCC.
* A demonstrable background in a Mental Health / Psychiatric speciality.
* The ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales.
* The ability to relate to people from a range of socio-economic backgrounds, races, religions, and cultures.
* Report writing skills and proficiency in using laptops and IT systems.
