On behalf of our client, a medical devices company, we are currently recruiting for an Engineering Technician. This is a full-time position based in Bray Co. Wicklow. You will report into the Maintenance and Engineering Manager.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Maintain Equipment and Systems Supporting Manufacture
2. The items listed here may be allocated to different Technicians as deemed appropriate by the Maintenance Manager.
3. Engineering owner for equipment and systems assigned, responsible for effective maintenance of systems, equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
4. Proactively monitor these systems and equipment at a frequency that maximizes capacity to maintain the equipment and to detect malfunction prior to failure.
5. Complete all maintenance tasks in compliance with SOPs.
6. Co-ordinate external contractors providing facilities services including but not limited to:
1. Waste
2. Pest Control
3. Cleaning Services
4. Gowning Services
5. Effluent Systems
6. Security
7. Fire
8. Facilities Maintenance including grounds and buildings.
7. Provide technical input and support to engineering and other projects.
8. To co-ordinate and manage external contractors.
9. Technical Support for qualification of new equipment and systems in co-operation with validation.
10. All work to be carried out in compliance with relevant Health and Safety requirements as it relates to planning, carrying out, and managing tasks.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
1. Relevant Trade certification such as Fitter, Electrician, Refrigeration, etc.
2. Or other relevant certification.
3. Or proven period of experience that can demonstrate adequate competency in the relevant industry environment.
4. Experience in the Medical Device field is a major advantage.
5. Exposure to CMMS is an advantage.
