Job Summary
We are seeking an Associate Director for Highways and Active Travel to join our Infrastructure team in either our Cork, Carlow, or Dublin offices.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading multidisciplinary design teams and ensuring projects are delivered to required timescales, quality, and budgets.
* Managing a portfolio of projects including client relationships and communications for their group of projects.
* Mentoring and managing more junior Project Managers within the Highways and Active Travel Sector.
* Supervising and mentoring senior and junior staff within the Highways and Active Travel Sector.
* Planning and managing design work, working closely with Engineering Discipline Leads and Technicians.
* Preparation of technical reports and tender documents.
* Coordinating work with other members of the project and infrastructure team.
* Ensuring compliance with quality assurance and management systems and relevant health and safety legislation.
Requirements
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and Chartered Engineer status.
* 15 years post-graduate experience in the design and project management of highways, greenway, and active travel schemes, including delivering projects in Ireland in accordance with TII Project Management Guidelines and/or NTA Project Approval Guidelines.
* Experience in the delivery of design and build projects is an advantage.
* Multi-disciplinary design management experience.
* Experience engaging with clients, external stakeholders, and sub-consultants.
* Flexible and a good team player.
* Works efficiently and on own initiative.
* Must be prepared to travel to site visits and client meetings.
* Full Driver's Licence.
