Job Title: Electrical Estimator
GES Group is an industry-leading electrical and mechanical engineering company with a dynamic and fast-growing environment.
We are looking for an ambitious individual who is enthusiastic about working in the Engineering sector and can work both independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives.
This role is full-time (38 hours per week) with 29 days' holiday per year, inclusive of 8 statutory holidays.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have over 2 years of experience in a similar role, able to communicate effectively with customers to define project scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing and budgets, and prepare and present estimate documentation.
Responsibilities:
* Submit tenders timely and accurately.
* Liaise with clients and suppliers to receive compliant and competitive quotations for contracts and materials.
* Attend meetings with client teams.
* Manage and deliver electrical estimating requirements.
* Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver a compliant submission.
* Identify potential risks and opportunities within the scope of enquires received.
* Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects to consistent and competitive levels.
* Maintain tender records and correspondence.
* Drive efficiencies, manage costings, and prepare financial bids for submission.
Requirements
* Experience: 2+ years in a similar role.
* Qualifications: Degree/HND/HNC in a relevant field or time-served electrician.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong analytical skills with ability to adapt to changing demands.
* Good negotiation skills.
* Effective time management skills.
* High use of initiative.
