Business Development Executive (Medical Device)
Location: Ireland (National Coverage)
Our client, a leading player in the medical device services industry, is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive growth and expand market presence across their medical device testing, consultancy, and packaging services portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially savvy professional with strong industry knowledge, excellent client relationship skills, and a passion for bringing valuable testing and development services to the MedTech, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors.
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
* Develop and execute a sales strategy for medical device services within the Irish market.
* Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients.
* Collaborate with the Business Director to support broader strategic planning and growth initiatives.
* Conduct in-depth analysis of client organizations to assess outsourcing strategies and align service offerings accordingly.
* Manage contractual processes, including Confidentiality Agreements, Master Service Agreements, and pricing discussions, with support from senior stakeholders.
* Coordinate closely with internal teams and cross-functional departments across global sites to ensure client satisfaction and delivery of services.
* Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and client meetings to promote services and identify new market opportunities.
* Maintain detailed CRM records to capture customer engagement, activities, and contractual updates.
* Regularly report on sales metrics, pipeline health, and market intelligence to inform strategy and performance monitoring.
* Participate in continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements in service quality, client experience, and operational efficiency.
* Provide market feedback and strategic direction for future service development and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or related field) required.
* Additional training in business, finance, or sales is desirable.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development or sales, specifically in medical device testing or related services.
* Established network within the medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry.
* Solid understanding of regulations and compliance including ISO standards, GLP, and quality systems.
* Familiarity with product commercialization, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
* Proven ability to influence at a senior level, both internally and externally, within a matrix-style organization.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with strong planning and organizational abilities.
