PE Global Healthcare is currently recruiting for a occupational health advisor nurse for a large corporation based in Cork.
The OHA will be responsible for providing a high quality and professional occupational health service to the organisation Duties of the role/Responsibilities Co-ordinate the First Aiders and Mental Health first responders for the business.
Risk assess and ensure adequate First Aiders and MHFRs onsite at any given time.
Oversee the ergonomics programme for the business and order specialised equipment as required Complete OH and wellness induction training with all new joiners.
Review and update Safety statement on an annual basis.
To update existing procedures and devise new procedures as required.
To identify any hazards in the working environment and make recommendations to managers regarding compliance with current legislation and best practice.
To develop and participate in proactive wellbeing education and awareness initiatives designed to inform and educate the team.
To provide case management of short, medium and long-term absenteeism and give advice as appropriate.
To assess Pre employment questionnaires and pregnancy risk assessments in an efficient and timely manner.
To advise on Health & Safety when required and follow-up on all workplace accidents or incidents.
To keep up to date on new developments, legislative changes and best practice in the area of occupational health.
To carry out other OH duties that may arise, in consultation with the company management.
Education/Experience Hold a general Nurse qualification Hold full An Bord Altranais registration Hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Health Previous experience essential as this is a standalone OH Nurse post Benefits Base Salary approx.
