Social Care Leader - Louth
This is an exciting opportunity for Social Care Leaders to join a new service in Louth, which will deliver a trauma-informed model of care for young people aged between 13 and 17 years.
The team will encourage the development of positive attachments through relationship building with the overall goal of providing a therapeutic environment.
You will have the opportunity to work as part of a team to deliver robust, holistic, trauma-informed care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement Care Plans, ensuring accurate recording.
* Promote rights and responsibilities of each child/young person.
* Foster physical, emotional, social, and religious welfare.
* Encourage attendance at school, training centers, medical appointments.
* Organize personal documents, arrangements, and finances on behalf of the young person.
* Liaise with parents, family, services, and agencies on behalf of the young person.
* Attend meetings related to care and developments.
* Engage in age-appropriate play and activities with each child/young person.
* Use physical intervention and restraint according to local policies and procedures.
* Prepare meals in conjunction with the young people.
* Manage household duties, budget, upkeep, and cleaning.
* Attend team meetings and report to the Manager on service delivery.
* Be accountable for expenses.
* Make regular reports to the Manager on the young person's progress.
* Undertake ongoing professional training and development.
* Making decisions when on shift or absent from duty.
* Participate in on-call rotations.
Requirements:
* Minimum three years' experience in Children & Families Service or similar environment.
* Registered with the Social Care Workers Register maintained by CORU.
* Holding a CORU-approved Social Care Worker qualification and registration (evidence required).
