Residential Manager
Cpl Healthcare is delighted to announce its partnership with a reputable client committed to improving the quality of life for older people who wish to maintain their independence in a safe living environment.
The Residential Manager will lead and manage the delivery and ongoing development of an assisted living residential service for older persons in the community, working in conjunction with members and volunteers.
The job holder will report updates and progress on all matters related to the service to The Conference/Management Committee on a regular basis. They will be line managed by the National Children and Family Services Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* To hold a third-level qualification at Level 7 NQF or higher in one or more of the following disciplines: Social Care, Social Work, Social Studies, Care of the Elderly, Healthcare, or other relevant discipline.
* With at least three years' post-qualification experience working in a leadership/management role in services for older persons.
* Or six years' experience in a leadership/management role in services for older persons.
Essential Requirements:
* A knowledge of relevant policy and best practice issues pertaining to older persons, person-centred care, and key agencies working on behalf of older persons.
* An understanding of health and safety requirements in this area.
* An understanding of HSE standards for Adult Community Care and Older Person Services.
* Experience working directly with older persons or this age group in a support and/or residential setting.
* Experience leading a team.
* Experience coordinating programmes or groups focusing on personal, educational, emotional, and social development.
* Experience in the community/voluntary sector/social care environment.
