Job Title: Site Manager
A leading Irish Building and Civil Engineering Contractor seeks an experienced Site Manager to oversee on-site activities, ensuring successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate daily site operations to meet project schedules.
* Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
* Monitor progress, address challenges, and adjust plans as needed.
* Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on status and risks.
Safety and Compliance:
* Enforce safety protocols and lead on-site safety meetings.
* Conduct regular safety audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Quality Assurance:
* Inspect all work to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
* Manage quality control processes, addressing defects promptly.
Resource Management:
* Plan and manage resources, including labour, materials, and equipment.
* Oversee material deliveries and maintain accurate inventory records.
Team Leadership:
* Lead and mentor site teams, fostering a positive and productive culture.
* Provide training and oversee on-site labour allocation.
Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs and progress reports.
* Communicate any risks or delays to senior management promptly.
Requirements:
* Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in site management or a similar role.
* Strong technical skills, with proficiency in construction management software, Microsoft Office, and blueprint reading.
* Proven organisational and leadership abilities to manage diverse teams effectively.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to project changes.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
