Assistant Warehouse & Coldstore Manager

As the Assistant Warehouse Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our warehouse operations, leading a team to ensure stock moves smoothly in and out of our coldstores. Whether it’s improving efficiency, meeting deadlines, or assisting your Warehouse Manager with stock management and merchandising, you’ll tackle challenges with creativity and a hands-on approach. About The Role
Your Role
* Oversee operations in the warehouse, managing and mentoring a team of Team Leaders and Operatives.
* Collaborate with your team and fellow Department Managers to keep operations running efficiently.
* Support with the management of site facilities and liaising with contractors to manage plant and organise repairs.
* Drive productivity by optimising warehouse processes to achieve top-tier results.
* Take an active role in managing daily tasks and shift operations.
* Support your Warehouse Manager with compliance, operations, and key Head Office initiatives.
* Lead grievance and investigation procedures, acting as a disciplinary manager when required.
* Foster a workplace where your team can perform at their best, in line with our company values and safe systems of work.
Essential Skills:
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide your team.
* A proven track record of leading teams to success.
* The ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines under pressure.
* A sharp eye for detail to oversee costs, rotas, and facilities.
* Excellent communication skills, ensuring clear and effective messaging at all levels.
* Proficient IT Skills, competent using Microsoft Office package.
Desirable Skills:
* Previous experience within a food or temperature-controlled warehouse.
* Previous experience using a Warehouse Management System.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements.
* Knowledge of BRC requirements.
Terms:
* Full Time Role.
* Hours of work to suit business needs.
* Average of 45 hours per week.
* Salary 45,000 - 50,000 euro.
