The successful candidate will work on a wide scope of Water and Wastewater Treatment projects across the Island of Ireland. With this in mind, you will be required to travel to other Veolia sites, plants and offices. What’s more, you’ll be provided with the freedom to push boundaries and constantly learn and develop your skill-set.As a dynamic and progressive company, we encourage our employees to be ambitious and forward thinking so if you are seeking continued growth and have a drive to progress within an organisation Veolia Ireland can offer you career enhancement opportunities and the learning and development supports to achieve your goals.Day to Day of the Role: The role will involve commissioning of Water, Wastewater and Sludge treatment Plants, including setup/calibration of instrumentation, variable speed drives, alarm systems and PLC input/output validation.Supervision of electrical and automation sub-contractors on sites well as on occasion inclusive of mechanical sub-contractorsResponsible for ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with both contractual and specific process requirementsAssist the EICA Manager with proposals and tendering activities Supporting Project Managers within the business with all commissioning activitiesLiaise with clients and client representativesCarry out FAT and SAT tests with the client's representative.Evaluate client specifications and Veolia control philosophies and ensure works are constructed in compliance with the sameEnsure the works are constructed in accordance with national and EU standards and also meet Veolia’s internal company standards.Assist in the selection and evaluation of EICA equipment, subcontractors and suppliersEnsure that all EICA documentation for the project is managed in accordance with the requirements of the Project Quality PlanPrepare commissioning plans, reports, SAT & FAT documentation and operation and maintenance manualsEnsure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to on-sitePrepare timely and accurate reporting of activities to the EICA Manager Required Skills for the Role:NFQ Level 7 or above in Electrical Engineering or Qualified Electrician/ E&I Technician (Essential) Previous experience in Electrical Supervision & Commissioning of Water/Waste Water Treatment plants (Desirable)Full clean driving licence (Essential) Excellent oral and written reporting skillsMinimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar role, preferably in the water and wastewater industryAbility to work under pressure to deliver project objectives.Ability to engage with the customer as well as suppliers and sub-contractors in financial negotiations and final account agreements.Good working knowledge of programme management software such as Microsoft Project.
