ProSource are delighted to be working with an established Accountancy Practice based in Roscommon, who are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Newly Qualified Accountant to join their Audit/Accounts team.

Key Responsibilities:
Audit:
1. Plan, execute, and finalize audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients.
2. Conduct fieldwork, including testing and analysing financial data, ensuring compliance with audit standards.
3. Prepare audit files and draft reports with actionable recommendations for clients.
4. Identify potential issues and provide practical solutions to improve client operations and financial processes.
Accounts Preparation:
1. Prepare financial statements for companies, partnerships, and sole traders in compliance with FRS 102 and other relevant standards.
2. Assist clients with their management accounts, budgeting, and financial analysis.
3. Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and other accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial records.
Client Advisory and Compliance:
1. Support clients with tax compliance and filing of VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax returns.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular communication and support.
3. Provide advice on accounting systems, controls, and regulatory changes.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
1. Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualified - part qualified candidate will also be considered.
2. Experience: 2+ years of experience in an accounting practice environment, with exposure to audit and accounts preparation.
3. Strong knowledge of Irish auditing standards, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Relate, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
5. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
