Job Title: Temporary Finance Assistant
Your new company Hays Accountancy and Finance is working exclusively with a well-recognised charity, who transform the lives of people with acquired brain injury, learning disability or autism.
The organisation requires a temporary Finance Assistant to help support their team for a maternity cover contract.
Your New Role:
* Collaborate with the other Finance Assistant to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Accurately process invoices and credit notes into the accounts system.
* Maintain the supplier and customer database for the organisation.
* Paying suppliers according to the agreed schedule and follow up on outstanding payments.
* Complete and assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
* Post all batches of bank transactions from the organisation's software.
* Manage applications and claims, including NSI and ROI.
* Handle petty cash and debit card cash cards for the organisation.
* Complete bank lodgements.
* Update the Fixed Asset register for NI and ROI.
* Assist with updating bank mandates for the organisation.
* Participate in audit procedures with internal and external auditors.
* Assist with month-end processes, including journal preparation.
* Support Head Office Health and Safety compliance.
What You'll Need To Succeed:
* Previous experience in a finance assistant role or similar.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
* Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
