The IT Strategy Lead is responsible for the definition of Allianz Partners' group IT strategy in alignment with the group business strategy as well as the business strategy of Allianz Partners' global Functions, Line of Business (LoB) and Business Units.
This colleague directly contributes to the Strategic / Planning Dialog process for IT. They are responsible for defining the M&A approach based on the group's overall business strategy (in strong collaboration with global Functions and LoBs), driving the evaluation of IT target integration strategy and contributing to due diligence.
The role establishes a holistic view of the current IT environment, the future direction, and the initiatives required to migrate to the desired future environment. It is in charge of the alignment and reporting to Allianz Group (H4) for the global Allianz Partners' IT Strategy.
Responsibilities
* Define and approve Group IT Strategy - Define and share Allianz Partners' global IT Strategy in alignment with global business strategy. Ensure it is approved by the Board of Management and communicated throughout the organization as well as with Allianz Technology (AzT).
* Contribute to Strategic Dialogue / Planning Dialogue and Review Strategic Project Portfolio - Review strategic business and IT initiatives to ensure they contribute to the defined IT strategy. Define new strategic initiatives to implement the defined IT Strategy. Perform continuous monitoring and reporting against the execution of the IT strategy, in close collaboration with global Functions, LoBs, Organizational Management, Enterprise Architects and AzT.
* Define IT Integration strategy for Merger & Acquisitions - Define the M&A IT Integration approach taking into account the business strategy of concerned LoBs and global Functions. Contribute and review the M&A Due Diligence.
* Provide IT Strategic advisory - Co-ordinate the identification and assessment of new and emerging technologies, products, methods and techniques. Evaluate their likely relevance for the organization and provide regular briefings to staff and management.
* Alignment with Allianz Group IT Function - In charge of the IT Steering Board content for IT Strategy and the alignment with and reporting to Allianz Group IT function (H4) for all Allianz Partners' IT Strategy topics.
What you bring
* At least 7 years of experience in IT Consulting / Strategy development / enterprise architecture / program management.
* Demonstrated experience in IT strategy definition, IT strategic planning and execution.
* Understanding of key challenges in M&A integration, business strategy, finance.
* Demonstrated experience in managing and influencing effectively in a matrix environment, dealing with conflicting interests and top management level.
* Experience in Designing IT Strategies to support Business Strategy.
* Ability to understand and communicate effectively the implications of new technologies.
* Expertise in the comprehensive IT system architecture and landscape relevant for an insurance company.
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant field.
* Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
