Job Title: Engineering Technicians (4x Shift Cycle)
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to join our team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Shift Process Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and modifying production equipment.
As an Engineering Shift Technician, you will also participate in trouble shooting and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure smooth plant operation.
Main responsibilities include:
* Installing, modifying, and maintaining production equipment;
* Improving plant operations by reducing downtime, waste, and implementing quality control measures;
* Assisting with equipment validation, debugging, and acceptance trials;
* Liaising with vendors, suppliers, and local engineering shops;
* Analyzing customer complaints and internal quality issues, and assisting in drawing up improvement programs;
* Training other engineers, new recruits, and apprentices as required;
* Participating in company-wide continuous improvement initiatives and using quality tools as applicable;
* Maintaining recording and reporting systems for engineering-related matters;
* Utilizing IT/processing systems, such as SAP;
* Maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems associated with high-volume manufacturing equipment and hold a relevant qualification or certification. They must have relevant industrial experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment and possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
This is a 4-Cycle Shift Pattern role, operating 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, requiring the ability to work 2 x 12-hour days, followed by 2 x 12-hour nights, and 4 days off.
