Job Title: Finance Executive Salary: 35K - 38K Location: Kilkenny Employment Type: Full-Time Job Purpose: The Finance Executive will oversee daily financial operations and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with experience in financial administration and a strong understanding of accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and manage incoming and outgoing invoices.
Reconcile accounts and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
Prepare and monitor customer invoices, ensuring accuracy.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support the finance team in preparing budgets and forecasts.
Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of all financial data.
Bank & Cash Management: Reconcile bank accounts and process cash transactions.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and expenditures.
Payroll: Manage and process employee payroll, and maintain accurate employee records.
Tax & Compliance: Assist with VAT returns and other statutory filings.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Inventory & Costing: Support the monitoring of inventory levels and cost analysis related to manufacturing operations.
Assist with stock takes and reconciliations.
General Administration: Maintain and update financial records and databases.
Provide support for audits and assist in gathering necessary documents.
Respond to financial queries from internal departments.
Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications & Skills: Education & Experience: 1-2 years' experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
Minimum Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax requirements.
Personal Attributes: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable: Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
