The Role
As a Senior SAP ABAP Technical Consultant, you will be in a strategic position that changes on a regular basis. In this role you will work with a project that supports a key utilities provider in Ireland and shape full cycle implementations of SAP Technical from Project Preparation phase to go live.
Key responsibilities:
* Requirement Gathering & RICEFW Cataloguing: Understanding and gathering requirements by interacting with business analysts and functional leads.
* Delivering technical reviews for each of the functional specifications related to any technical objects. Involved in checking the feasibility of any development objects.
* Coordination with offshore team leads involved in building and sharing HLDs for complex objects.
* Responsible for issue log maintenance related to business, functional, or any type of technical issues.
* Supporting code reviews and preparation of final review document as auditor.
* Unit test, link testing, integration testing, and user acceptance tests (UAT).
* Working on existing APP extensions and new APP Development in WEB IDE.
* Driving new Catalogue creation and configuration.
Your Profile
* Extensive and in-depth track record in SAP ISU as well as SAP S/4 HANA.
* Hands-on experience in SAP ISU ABAP areas of Device Management, Billing & FICA.
* Proven ABAP development experience in SD, Plant Maintenance.
* SAP S/4 Hana working experience in:
* CDS Views
* OData
* AMDB
* Fiori
* Technical Catalogue Creation and maintenance
* UI5 Developments with Cloud-based WEBIDE & Eclipse
* Strong experience in Advanced ABAP areas:
* OOABAP
* ALE, IDocs, ABAP Proxy, EDI & IDE
* BADI & BAPI
* Web Services, Web Dynpro
* Screen Personas
* SPAU & SPDD, Custom code Remediation
* Commercial experience in Core ABAP areas:
* Dialog programming
* Function Group programming
* Batch reports programming (Multi-threading, Upd2)
* BDC
* SAP Query, Sapscript, Smartforms
* BADI & BAPI
* Web Services, Web Dynpro
* Strong experience in Other ABAP areas e.g. Workflow, FQ Events, Change Pointers, BRF+, Pricing Routines, VOFM routines, XML Transformation.
* Extensive experience in SAP BW ABAP & CRM ABAP.
* Implementation/Rollout experience is a must.
* Excellent communication/interpersonal skills are mandatory for interaction with different stakeholders involved in the projects (i.e., in the business process definition stages, design, testing etc. with technical and non-technical people).
* Knowledge of standard testing practices for SAP Projects is key.
* Proven background of supporting large scale SAP projects.
* Relevant knowledge of all phases of project lifecycle.
Good to have:
* Past experience with the application HP Quality Centre is an advantage (i.e., for the creation and execution of test scripts and the resolution of defects).
* Leadership qualities would be highly desirable.
