Job Description
We are working with a Dublin based retail company who are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proven track record in handling accounts payable and payroll functions. This is a great part-time role initially being offered on a temporary basis with a strong view to becoming a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
* Accounts Payable:
o Process and reconcile supplier invoices and statements.
o Respond to and resolve supplier queries promptly.
o Ensure timely payments to suppliers.
o Maintain accurate records and documentation.
* Payroll:
o Process and run weekly payroll.
o Calculate and process employee wages, deductions, and taxes.
o Prepare and distribute pay slips.
o Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and legislation.
* Bank Reconciliations:
o Reconcile bank accounts and identify discrepancies.
o Post journal entries and prepare bank reconciliations.
* Month-End Procedures:
o Assist with month-end closing procedures, including accruals and prepayments.
o Prepare and analyze financial reports.
* General Accounting:
o Perform general accounting duties as required, such as data entry, filing, and report generation.
