Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive and high-level administrative support to the Director of Nursing and the nursing team.Act as the primary point of contact within the Office of the Director of Nursing, liaising with staff and external parties, and disseminating relevant information to the hospital Management Team.Exercise discretion and diplomacy while ensuring confidentiality, respect, and privacy is maintained.Manage the commitments of the Director of Nursing's diary.Lead administration for the Transition Year work experience programme within the hospital.Act as the administration lead and System Superuser for the annual Vaccinations Programme.Organise and convene meetings as instructed by the Director of Nursing.Ensure an excellent administrative and secretarial service is in place to process all correspondence and enquiries going through the department.Involve in the rollout and implementation of reporting of activity data required from the Director of Nursing.Provide data/reports regarding scheduled care activity for internal and external stakeholders as directed by the Director of Nursing.Collaborate with the Nursing Admin Team and eRostering Supervisor to provide data/reports on nurse staffing.Liaise with the Quality and Risk Department regarding written complaints, acting as a point of contact with ward staff.Provide professional and administrative support to various committees chaired by the Director of Nursing or other executive leads.Liaise with the Cork College of Commerce regarding work experience placements.Undertake additional duties as required by the Director of Nursing.Demonstrate flexibility in duties and responsibilities as the role and service evolve.Maximise the use of ICT to ensure work is completed to a high standard, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Show proficiency in MS Teams, including scheduling.Provide support to the Chief Executive Office and cover leave as necessary.Eligibility Criteria:Previous senior administrative experience of at least 2 – 3 years.Excellent attention to detail.Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.Ability to work independently or in a team environment.Closing Date: 1pm on Friday, 29 November 2024.
