Application Support Analyst- Permanent - €50K (Up to 60K with annual Incrments) About the Role Key Irish state Healthcare agency urgently requires an Application Support Analyst to join the team at their Head offices in Dublin Central. Based within the organisations ICT & Business Services (ICTBS) department, the Application Support Analyst will either have, or poses the capability to quickly develop a very strong knowledge of the organisation's application portfolio. In addition to providing ongoing support, the Applications Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the introduction of new technologies and ensuring the organisation derives the maximum possible benefit from its investment in same. This role is permanent, offers a generous pension and a range of other public sector benefits. Located in Dublin City Centre, the role is offered on a Hybrid Basis with a 2 day per week onsite requirement. Responsibilities of role * Provide technical support to users within organisation and external clients, resolving or escalating to 3rd parties as/when needed * Ownership and resolution of problem tickets following good problem management practices * Gathering information, coordinating problem investigation and assisting in resolution activities with internal teams and 3rd parties, * Ensuring appropriate controls are configured within all Applications per IT policies. * Promote user adoption through application support and end-user training; prepare self-help materials, and provide technical demonstrations, consultation, and support for existing and new applications. * Coordinate application upgrades and changes and utilise appropriate change and release procedures to ensure the smooth operation of business services. * Delivering customised training on new/existing Applications to users within the business. * Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures. * Conduct routine monitoring and analysis to include audit log reports evaluation, system and storage utilization reports, site and system usage, growth reports, and manage site collection quota settings - This will also include preparing application maintenance plans and upgrading schedules * Contributing to the development, adoption and promotion of organisational ICT policies, procedures and standards. * Play a key role in the management of the organisations MS 365 technologies - Troubleshoot various Office 365 issues, (Including connectivity and mobility); Evaluate capabilities by unused Office 365/Cloud applications; Keeping up to date with all current on O365 and cloud technologies and when required brainstormingsolutions to application related problems * Working with the IT Manager and the department to achieve performance targets for the department. Essential Candidate requirements * Third level degree in Computer Science, IT or other relevant area Microsoft 365 Certification (Strong experience technical knowledge may suffice) * 3 Years' experience in an IT Support role, a substantial proportion of which should have involved support for 0365 applications including Standard desktop/web client applications, Word, Excel, OneDrive PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams * Good understanding of Cloud technologies particularly MS Azure * Strong knowledge of networking and communications technologies including TCP IP models, protocol, network topology and operating system-related things like O's version, command prompt commands, task manager, windows logs etc Good Understanding of ITIL IT Service Management Framework and Change processes. * Be equally comfortable (And productive) working in a team or in a solo capacity * Effective communications skills - Advanced written/spoken English, and the ability to represent the department when dealing with external vendors, internal stakeholders or other third parties Highly desirable * Have previously worked in healthcare, pharma, veterinary or medical device fields. * Knowledge and experience of public sector organisations in Ireland IMPORTANT - All applicants must have immediate availability to work in the EU - Candidates that require any kind of Visa sponsorship or work will not be considered at present To Apply: For more information on this role, please contact Nall on or or send current CV along with brief cover letter through this site.
