Our client is a medium-sized Chartered Quantity Surveying practice, delivering strong, innovative, and honest project and cost management solutions on construction and civil engineering projects across all sections in Ireland and the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pre-contract cost control and advice to Design Teams & Clients
2. All post-contract functions including interim recommendations, cost reporting, Client meetings, and final account reconciliations
3. Responsibility for training and development of assistant and junior Quantity Surveyors as part of team structure
4. Estimating & Cost Planning – reporting directly to Clients
5. Preparing Bills of Quantities, Buildsoft & Cubit
6. Compiling Contract Documentation
7. Preparing Cost Reports
8. Preparing Monthly Valuations
9. Preparation and Agreement of Final Accounts
10. Review and Resolve Contractual Claims
11. Attend Meetings with Clients and Design Team Members
12. Assist in training and development of assistant and junior surveyors
Requirements:
1. Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor - Chartered status is preferable but not mandatory
2. The candidate should be commercially aware and have ambition to progress within the organisation.
3. Drive and determination to manage strict budgets to ensure the commercial success of projects
Package:
€70K - €90K, depending on level of experience and negotiable for the right candidate.
