Our client is a long-standing well established Food Production Facility in Dublin 12. Due to continued business growth, they have a requirement to hire a Quality Assurance Officer to join their production team in West Dublin.

Role
1. Maintenance and continuous improvement of the Food Safety & Quality Management Systems.
2. Responsible for maintaining food safety and quality standards during production shift.
3. Ensuring production documentation is completed accurately and filed in quality office.
4. Ensuring all daily checks and scoring is carried out as required (GMP, weights, dates, temperatures, CCP/OPRPs, process control, in-process quality checks, traceability, hygiene, product changeover and pack control etc.).
5. Conduct hygiene audits, structural audits, internal and glass audits as per schedule.
6. Ongoing monitoring of picking, loading and associated activities i.e. transportation storage and hygiene.
7. Monitoring of external site standards including waste storage.
8. Raw material conformity inspections.
9. Quality inspections of bought-in goods.
10. Monitoring and execution of the non-conforming product procedure.
11. Finish product quality standards (height, bake, weight, slicing, wrapping, dating and final presentation).
12. Raw material and finished product analysis (NIR, Texture Analyser & C-Cell).
13. Assess product samples, record findings and report as appropriate.
14. Highlight and measure gap analysis in processes to ensure compliance to food safety and food quality standards.
15. Document control and updates.
16. Training – identify training needs and carry out on the job training with operators.
17. Monitoring of site security and associated food defence controls.
18. Generate shift handover report.
Requirements
1. QA experience in food manufacturing environment.
2. Training in food hygiene, HACCP and internal auditing.
3. Ability to drive quality and food safety standards in a high paced food manufacturing environment.
4. Candidate must possess strong attention to detail and assertiveness to drive standards with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
5. Knowledge of EHO, DoA, Weights & Measures, FSSC 22000, BRC & RSPO requirements.
6. Knowledge of labelling and food legislation.
7. Able to build effective working relationships inside and outside the Company at various levels and accommodate working styles.
8. Strong organisational, planning, time management, project management, problem-solving, and anticipatory skills.
9. The capacity to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and be flexible.
10. The ability to work on own initiative and as part of an interdependent team.
11. Proven track record of delivering work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
