Our client, a leading food manufacturing business, is seeking a National Account Manager to drive sales and profitability.
The ideal candidate will have commercial experience, ideally in multiple retail FMCG customer management, with excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate product features and benefits.
The role involves managing customer relationships, delivering sales forecasts on time and accurately, working with supply chain and factory teams, and developing promotional plans suitable to each customer.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing price promotions and new product launches
* Drawing up accurate sales forecasts
* Collaborating with supply chain and factory teams on forecast planning
* Working with commercial finance and trade marketing to develop promotional plans
* Leveraging learnings from previous executions to adapt and optimize future plans
* Maintaining existing relationships within accounts
* Developing and executing Joint Business Plans with Key Customers
Skill requirements include:
* Sales experience in multiple retail FMCG customer management
* Excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate product features and benefits
* Timely and accurate reporting
* Strong communication, relationship building, and negotiation skills
* Analytical, numeracy, and time management abilities
* Organisation and professionalism
* Enthusiasm and confidence with high-level IT proficiency
* A background of working within chilled food categories is desirable
