Purpose: Dedicated to enhancing patient experiences across all phases of clinical trials, the Patient Engagement organization specializes in crafting engaging patient-centric clinical trial communications.
Position Description: The Associate Director (P4), Health Literacy is responsible for shaping the health literate content strategy. This role collaborates closely with therapeutically assigned Patient Engagement Senior Directors and works with the Health Literacy Capabilities Content team to develop and execute patient-centric clinical trial communications.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Develop and oversee the overarching health literacy strategy for investigator and patient-facing content.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of health literacy initiatives with clinical trial objectives.
3. Lead the development and implementation of guidelines for health literate content creation.
4. Conduct assessments of communication needs and integrate feedback into strategy development.
5. Stay abreast of health literacy trends and integrate insights into strategy refinement.
6. Provide guidance to content creators to ensure materials are clear and culturally sensitive.
7. Champion DEI principles in health literacy strategy.
8. Collaborate with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance with requirements.
9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for health literate content.
10. Prepare and present reports on health literacy strategy implementation.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in health, science, or communication-related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in medical writing or clinical development.
3. Minimum 2 years of experience leading/managing a key part of a portfolio.
4. Experience in health literacy methodology.
