Job Description:
The QC Chemist plays a vital role in ensuring laboratory operations and compliance, with minimal direct supervision. This involves high-level laboratory testing, issue resolution, and continuous improvement to achieve Right First Time (RFT) results.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Routinely performs sampling and analysis, providing target training for team members as needed.
2. Writes laboratory investigations, ensures compliant and timely event resolution, and participates in error reduction activities.
3. Performs additional laboratory duties as required and conducts peer reviews.
4. Provides an efficient customer-focused service by maintaining laboratory processes, equipment, and services in an operational and safe state.
5. Participates in non-routine/complex projects.
6. Writes laboratory documentation, protocols, reports, and PRRs.
7. Identifies Continuous Improvement opportunities and progresses related projects.
8. Ensures strict adherence to site policies/procedures, cGMP/GLP, and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
9. Maintains area of responsibility in a constant state of compliance and audit readiness, according to current regulations, PQS, and business needs.
10. Considers safety and housekeeping aspects.
11. Executes responsibilities in line with Right First-Time principles.
12. Resolves and/or escalates issues appropriately.
13. Demonstrates company values and Pfizer competencies.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
* Education: A third-level qualification in a relevant discipline is essential.
* Experience: Previous relevant laboratory experience and good knowledge of cGMPs are desirable. Colleagues should possess good people, communication, organizational, and time management skills, along with effective problem-solving abilities.
